Horses and Bears

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we joined a very cool crowd and danced to the fine tunes of a Band of Horses and the warm up act the Grizzly Bears. It was wonderful. There was an amazing vibe in the crowd, a real festival atmosphere. The gig was held at the Williamsburg (Brooklyn) waterfront - a converted industrial space that was lobbied by the locals as a community space to avoid over-development of the area. It still has a really industrial feel to the venue, but it was awesome to be en-plein-air as the tunes belted out and the sun went down with the back drop of Manhattan across the East River.

Hmmm, trying to make 'cats whiskers' and 'daddy's underpants' with a set of mardi gras beads is not entirely straightforward.
