K&S
Saturday 14 January 2012 was a fun day.
It was the wedding day of some lovely pals. I wanted to make them something to go along with their honeymoon contribution so I attempted to stitch a photo of them. Not entirely happy with how it turned out but I guess I'm my biggest critic and this is the first time I had a crack at it. Thanks to Alice + Georgia's photoshopping expertise, the photo was relatively easy to stitch. However, my stitching ability was 'avvers-at-best.
The invite was put together by K's lovely school friend. It was super cute.

Stitching - framed.
The wedding was set in the most beautiful gardens of a stunning old manner. The intimate surrounds made the ceremony feel so special. A little butterfly hovered around the couple while they said their vows and then the sun shone. It was really special. I was teary. I'm a sook, I know.
Anyone who knows the bride knows how fun she is. They also know that she has many 'impromptu hand gestures' (her best friend's words in the speech, not mine) and fun facial expressions. It was so hard to capture one shot where the bride wasn't pulling an excited/funny/cute/crazy/happy face. It was super cute.
The venue (Quat Quatta) was breathtaking. So stunning and a perfect spot for an afternoon garden wedding.
The bride's nephew was sitting next to me and I have to say I have a little crush. He is such a cute little bubba. This is him (Will), sitting on his grandpa's lap next to his dad. Three generations of boys.
The after party was held in a cute bar. We met so many of the bride and groom's lovely friends. It was one of those times where you can really understand how you are both friends with the same people.
The after party bar had a big yak on the wall. The boy thought it was hilarious to capture 'formal' photos with the game on the wall. Actually, I'm not sure if 'yak' is technically game or not but it was a bigggg wall mount nonetheless.
All in all - a wonderful, fun, love-filled day. Too many highlights to name, but the mini lemon meringues, orange blossom brulee and lemon sorbet dessert taster plates were not easy to forget ;) And of course the stunning bride, spunky groom, their awesome pals, the kick arse venues and general good times.

Too much to stop and capture
There have been so many wonderful happenings so far in 2012. It seems like I'm either too busy enjoying a moment to stop and write about it, or I'm too busy with things on the work front to breath and therefore also too busy to stop and write about it.
