Last year I wrote a blog post about a woman I met who had been out of work for six months. It ended up that she got a job because of me. Anyway, I contacted her recently to see how the job was working out and this is what she responded:
It's ironic, I was just thinking about you too but just didn't get a
chance to reach out. I was actually let go from The Job a few
weeks ago. They didn't think I was cut out for the sales business and
I agreed. I just started a new job last week though and it's
definitely a better fit for me. I'm now a compliance consultant for
one of the consulting firms. Even though it was a short period of
time, my time at The Job was definitely not a waste: I was
introduced to my current and new career path and met my new boyfriend
there as well. Overall, things are pretty good.

Wow. The world really works in strange and wonderful ways. I'm blown away that my minor intervention has led her down a new path in life.
