Just because I love it.

Oh how I love thee, Saturday

Despite feeling like something died in my mouth ( I was feeling particularly hung), I got up and sauntered to breakfast at Beess just around the corner. Great company and yummy breaky.

Saturday morning ritual includes doing the quiz in the Good Weekend. Record high score of 15!!! So impressed and its what keeps my heart pounding.

Then off for catch ups with Miss M and Mr O. Chats to the chicken man, pats of the chickens, chilling by the lake, yummy lunch. Then home for chill out on the couch times. Oh my, I love unwinding. Its been ages since I sat still like that and it was heaven.

So much so that I was debating whether to get out of my pyjamas to make it to the IGA before they closed at 8pm. I didn't. I thought I'd chance running to the IGA in my pjs and wouldn't see anyone. And wouldn't you know it, I ran into 2 people I know! eeek. Always the way. But golly - I loooove pyjamas.

Wow

So. My quiet Friday night in did NOT go according to plans. but instead lead to fun times and frequentation [yes.i know its not a word] of some places that took me back to my uni days. Fun times. Fun times.

The highlights would have to be the super cute boy busting all the moves to 'all the single ladies', phone calls to shakira-loving buddies to tell them shakira was playing, messages to buddies to tell them all the single ladies was playing, and to Miss R to tell her 'boom boom boom (boong)' was on and I missed her. (Yes - I DO love to let my pals know when I'm out having beers because at the time it seems like the BEST time to call or message. Hmmm, sure they don't always appreciate it ;) Funny chats with randoms from West Wyalong, and Mr D saying he should patent the term 'smice' or small ice, so it can fit in his esky invention.

It.was.great.

Friday morning

This morning has been blissful. I slept in (7:15am!!). I walked to the cafe near work (cafe latte and turkish toast with vege - the BEST) and had chuckles with two of my bosses who were there. This was nice - they are generally known to be rude/shy/ignore-you-in-public-or-don't-acknowledge-your-existence types, so the 'hello' and jokes were warmly welcome.

I walked back in the sunshine musing about upcoming mini-adventures and tee-d up some catch ups with my oldest friend, Miss S. We have known each other since kindy and from time to time we re-connect. I'm excited about seeing her on an upcoming trip to Brisbane.

I'm looking forward to a quiet night in tonight - with my fave big sissa.

Thursday night - date night

Tonight I had a date with a lovely gal pal. She is so much fun and always has her shit together.
Lunch involved catchups with my awesome buddy who is out from the uk for a wedding. She is such a busy lady that I had to be allocated a time slot ;) hehe. K, you're a funny lady.

Last night was dinner with s&p. Always greathang0uts. Highlight was P licking her wine glass mid story.

Tuesday night was meeting with the gals for malaysian. It involved telling 'the story' again. and explaining 'what now'. and missed phone calls from concerned pals who had only just heard. Sad times. The big girl puppy came over for sleep overs and walks.

Monday night was turkish with the cutest kids going around and catch ups with their awesome parents.

So basically - this week has been an eat-fest, talk-fest, and socialise-fest.

Sometimes I wish it could be a sleep-fest - Accompanied by lots of cuddles.

Monday musings...

Virginia Woolf '...I hope you will possess yourselves of money enough to travel and to idle, to contemplate the future or the past of the world, to dream over books and loiter at street corners and let the line of thought dip deep into the stream'.
